This website uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure the proper functioning of procedures and enhance the user experience of online applications. This document provides detailed information on the use of cookies and similar technologies, how they are used on this site, and how to manage them.
Definitions
Cookies are small text files (letters and/or numbers) that allow the web server to store information on the client (the browser) to be reused during the same visit to the site (session cookies) or later, even after days (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored, based on user preferences, by the individual browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone).
Similar technologies, such as web beacons, transparent GIFs, and all forms of local storage introduced with HTML5, can be used to collect information about user behavior and the use of services. In this document, we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies simply as "cookies.".
Types of Cookies
Based on the characteristics and use of cookies, we can distinguish several categories:
- Strictly Necessary Cookies. These are essential cookies for the proper functioning of a site. This site uses PHPSESSID, a native PHP cookie that allows data to be stored on the serialization state. It is used to establish a user session and to communicate state data through a temporary cookie, commonly referred to as a session cookie. The duration of this cookie is strictly limited to the work session (it is deleted when the browser is closed).
- Analysis and Performance Cookies. These cookies are used to collect and analyze traffic and site usage anonymously. These cookies, while not identifying the user, allow, for example, the detection of whether the same user returns to connect at different times. They also allow monitoring of the system and improvement of its performance and usability. Disabling these cookies can be done without any loss of functionality.
- Profiling Cookies. These are permanent cookies used to identify (anonymously and not) user preferences and enhance their browsing experience. This website does not use this type of cookie.
Third-Party Cookies
When visiting a website, you may receive cookies from both the visited site ("first-party") and sites managed by other organizations ("third-party"). A notable example is the presence of "social plugins." These are parts of the visited page directly generated by the aforementioned sites and integrated into the host site page. The most common use of social plugins is aimed at sharing content on social networks.
The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies to and from all sites managed by third parties. The management of information collected by "third parties" is governed by the relevant information to which we kindly refer.
For greater transparency and convenience, the web addresses of the various information and cookie management methods are listed below.

Cookie Duration
Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed. Other cookies "survive" the browser's closure and are available for future user visits. These cookies are called persistent and their duration is set by the server at the time of their creation. In some cases, an expiration date is set; in others, the duration is unlimited. This site does not use persistent cookies.
However, by browsing the pages of this site, you may interact with sites managed by third parties that can create or modify permanent and profiling cookies.
Managing Cookies
The user can decide whether to accept or reject cookies using their browser settings.
Note: public content can be accessed even by completely disabling cookies.
Disabling "third-party" cookies does not affect navigability in any way.
The settings can be specifically defined for different sites and web applications. Additionally, the best browsers allow for different settings for "first-party" cookies and "third-party" cookies.
For example, in Firefox, through the menu Tools->Options->Privacy, you can access a control panel where you can define whether to accept or reject different types of cookies and proceed with their removal.
